Elizabeth Liones, la tercera princesa del reino de Liones, tras el golpe de estado hecho por los Caballeros Sagrados decide huir y buscar a los ya desaparecidos caballeros que se hacen llamar Los siete pecados capitales, cuya orden está conformada por los peores criminales del reino.
Un día cae desmayada en una taberna. Al ver a Elizabeth los clientes creen que es uno de los Sietes Pecados, y todos menos el joven dueño de la taberna y su compañero Hawk -un puerco que puede hablar- huyen asustados. El joven dueño de la taberna revela que es Meliodas, el Pecado de la Ira del Dragón y el Capitán de los Siete Pecados Capitales.
El enfrentamiento entre Escanor y Zeldris
Pride vs. Piety「〈傲慢〉 ｖｓ．〈敬神〉, Gōman vs. After activating The One, Escanor decidedly advances towards Zeldris, whose Ominous Nebula seems to have no effect on the Lion's Sin of Pride. Cusack questions how Escanor can remain unaffected by Ominous Nebula while Chandler questions where he felt this magic before.
Zeldris questions if Escanor really beat Meliodas before assuming if that's true, then Meliodas didn't fight with all he had since he has a bad habit of underestimating opponents weaker than him. Zeldris then asserts that he's different and that whether his opponent is a lion or a louse, he fights with all he has. However, Zeldris is able to hold it back and even repel Escanor, minorly injuring his right hand.
Merlin is shocked that Zeldris was able to repel an attack from Escanor in The One while Cusack is shocked that Escanor only sustained scratches from Zeldris's attack. Seeing Rhitta slightly chipped, Escanor throws the axe back. After Zeldris comments on how he isn't putting down his weapon to beg for his life, Escanor uses Divine Sword Escanor and brings down his hand, which Zeldris has a hard time holding back.
Seeing Escanor push down Zeldris with just his hand, Cusack questions how a Human can be so strong. Chandler then exclaims that it must be Mael's Grace of the Sun. Cusack questions how since the Supreme Deity gave the Graces to the Goddess Clan and Chandler theorizes that upon Mael's death, his Grace left him and wandered for 3,000 years before coming to reside within Escanor.
As he holds back Escanor's attack, Zeldris questions why Escanor is involving himself in a Holy War between the Demon Clan and the Goddess Clan. Escanor claims he's doing it for his friend. Zeldris questions if he really calls Meliodas a friend and asserts that Meliodas has no frivolous feelings. He begins pushing Escanor back, only for Escanor to push through and break through Ominous Nebula, forcing Zeldris to intercept Divine Sword Escanor with his sword.
Unable to hold him back, Zeldris moves back but Escanor declares he won't get away and uses Divine Spear Escanor, thrusting his finger into Zeldris's chest. He tells him to be pierced, only for Escanor to suddenly change into his night form before his attack could go all the way through. Hendrickson questions why and Merlin sees that Chandler has cast Darkness, turning it night around Camelot.
As Zeldris flies back, the narrator recounts how both of Zeldris's magics were turned off because of Escanor's attack. However, Zeldris regained consciousness in just 0.8 seconds and would need one more second to activate God.
La Guerra Santa llega a su clímax
While Mael knees Zeldris back, Merlin proclaims she only has 3 more minutes left. Mael tries convincing Zeldris to stop fighting as they were once brothers and should be able to come to an understanding. Zeldris scoffs and claims the former him, Estarossa, would've laughed at that before manifesting a blade of darkness on his hilt. Mael responds by forming two spinning Killing Saucer on his hands.
The two keep exchanging blows before Merlin exclaims she now has two minutes left. After firing his Killing Saucer as beams, Mael notes that Zeldris seems unusually hurried, much different from his calm and collected self, and questions if he wants to win the Holy War so badly, he's willing to let Meliodas becole Demon King. He further asks if Zeldris truly wants his one and only brother to become a being like that.
Zeldris tells him to say what he wants before suddenly appearing behind Mael. Slashing, Zeldris yells that both he and Meliodas wanted this. As Mael questions what this terrifying drive is, Zeldris shouts at him to stay out his way before slashing Mael across the stomach, forcing the Archangel to fall. Zeldris then jumps up and unleashes a flurry of slashes as Merlin declares there's only one minute left.
Hawk panics and claims they'll be made into swiss cheese as Elizabeth and Ludociel defend Merlin by blocking the slashes with Ark. King then uses Eighth Form: Pollen Garden to defend them against Zeldris. He tells Zeldris to give up as he has no chance, inwardly noting he's reaching his limit. Angered, Zeldris repeatedly bashes against Pollen Garden to no avail.
Mael questions why Zeldris is going so far and what's driving him to do this before calling it unfortunate, slashing Zeldris across the back and causing him to fall. Getting up, a wheezing Zeldris recalls Meliodas's promise to release Gelda from her seal after he becomes Demon King. Hawk questions if it really worked and Hendrickson points out how the bird and rubble near the cocoon have been frozen in place.
Zeldris then thinks about Gelda and lets out a tear as he falls to the ground. The Sins then all cheer that the Holy War is over. Merlin falls to her knees and as Escanor helps her up, she admits that freezing Commandments in time takes its toll on her and will get the Captain to treat her to good ale afterwards.
El despertar del Rey Demonio
Elizabeth thanks Hendrickson for what he did for Gilthunder and Margaret and reveals she knows because King was watching through Chastiefol the entire time. Hawk then eats a pill and turns into his Tyrant Dragon form. Flying around the cocoon, Hawk yells at Meliodas to wake up already since everyone has been through so much for him and points out how there's only a day left until Elizabeth's curse goes into effect.
Elizabeth wishes for Meliodas to be safe, only for Hawk to then notice a tear in the cocoon and nothing inside. Everyone then feels a chill and Elizabeth senses a presence behind her, asking if it's Meliodas. Laughing, a weak Zeldris says he'll be holding him to his promise and calls him Demon King, looking at an adult Meliodas.

Just when the holy war ended the new demon king was born. Wonder how he will feel when Elizabeth's curse activates. Meliodas at 9999%. Also, I hope that Zeldris finally reunites with Gilda. I am getting a nasty feeling Meliodas may not keep or won't his promise to Zeldirs since he's changed. I hope I am wrong about this one. Meliodas all grown up and different. That smile is telling me is giving out a hint of what is to come. If Nakaba does go that kind of route where things turn into hell and Zeldris does not reunite with Gelda, I am going to flip.
Of course things wouldnt end that easily. Hoping the ending would be good and not mess things up. I’m curious what Demon King Meliodas’s personality will be like.
